Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire - Brief Thoughts

At long last, I've finally seen Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire! Before getting to that, I should put out a full disclosure: I wasn't expecting this movie to be on par with Godzilla Minus One. Let's not kid ourselves, that movie set a new bar high for not just the Godzilla series but the kaiju genre as a whole so it was already gonna be hard to measure up regardless of quality but that isn't to say Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is bad, not at all. It doesn't need to for it be valid as a proper Godzilla movie. The only thing I ask for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire was to be a fun time at the theater and be entertaining and in that regard, it succeeded. This movie was a good ride. Does it have flaw? Well yeah of course but like a lot of the MonsterVerse films, the pros it has always outweigh the cons and that is good enough in my book. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is ultimately a movie I would overall recommend seeing on the big screen.
